Space Grant Program Evaluation

Evaluation Purpose

To assess the impact of Space Grant Experiences on the STEM identity of undergraduate and graduate college students.

To identify effective, repeatable practices that meet NASA’s goals and encourage STEM-career interest. 

Why STEM Identity?

Research has shown that STEM identity is a strong indicator of a students’ future entry into a STEM career. The path between STEM identity and a STEM career lies in multiple constructs, all measured by our evaluation.

Share a list of your students, awards received, academic level, and contact information. 

Support communication and interaction with affiliates.

Tell the evaluators how you operate your Space Grant. 

Assist with recruiting comparison students to better situate results.

Promote and encourage participation among your awardees.

 Introduce students and evaluators to each other.
